HCPS COVID-19 Dashboard When the school system is notified about a positive case of COVID-19 or students/staff display COVID like illness as per the Maryland Department of Health Decision Aid , the school nurse works with the staff and family to identify close contacts ( as defined by the Centers for Disease Control ). School nurses work in collaboration with our local health department to institute appropriate isolation/quarantine procedures. The following metrics will update daily , Monday through Friday, at approximately 4:00 p.m. They show the total number of students and staff who are currently in isolation and quarantine. Also displayed are the total positive tests (PCR and Rapid Tests), administered at the school and through testing in the community. To view optional metrics like the total negative PCR or Rapid Tests, hover above the "Student/Staff - Total Positive Tests" button for an additional drop-down. *Please note - Not all locations have a student or staff member with a positive case. Students/staff may be instructed to isolation/quarantine due to direct contact or displaying symptoms from exposures that may take place inside or outside of schools.
